I know people say that Bidule works better in standalone than in Rewire, but I have no more inputs into ProTools since I already have a second computer using them all up. I had read so much, especially on the DUC, about people having problems with RTAS, but for me the RTAS ran better than AU in Bidule. RMX was still latent when played live, but once I had the midi note in place and played the sequence it would play back in sync. I ended up putting all the instrument back into ProTools. Three times I stopped getting audio from Bidule entirely, forcing a restart.Īt 2:30 AM I had finally had enough. Also there was such latency that I couldn't play a really syncopated piano part live. I had only tested it using Slice mode, but when using the more flexible Groove mode I hoped it would follow tempos. I found quickly that RMX would not receive the tempo from the host.
RTAS set to 3 Processors, CPU Usage to 99% and Ignore Errors is checked. This particular template had Stylus RMX, Omnisphere, Kontakt 3.5 and Play in Budule returning to Pro Tools via Rewire. Video is run off a laptop with Video Satellite LE.
